The Concurrent Enrollment Mission

Under the umbrella of the broader SLCC mission the SLCC Concurrent Enrollment Department equips high schools, their students, and SLCC academic departments with the information, resources, and support necessary to provide a college experience for high school students. We strive to help motivated and academically prepared students successfully complete college-level courses and transition to college.

Provide leadership, direction, and implementation of quality practices for SLCC’s comprehensive concurrent enrollment program.

Provides general secretarial and administrative duties for the SLCC Concurrent Enrollment Department including front end phone and email support, CPAD support, liaison visit tracking and payment, department purchasing and budget reconciliation, event planning, teacher course proposal processing.

Coordinates CE class set up and provide administrative support all for concurrent enrollment coordinators and administrators as needed.

Helps students understand how their Concurrent Enrollment classes can help them achieve their educational goals.

Academic Outreach Liaison

Works with high school counselors to create a consistent SLCC experience for students taking concurrent enrollment courses. Presents to perspective CE students and their parents to equip them with the resources they need to succeed in their concurrent enrollment classes.

English Liaison

Duties include visiting English 1010 classes in area high schools, providing in-service training for CE instructors, and coordinating teacher approvals and student appeals.

Oversees college Math courses taught in local high schools. High School CPT Training Coordinator.
